Highway Crash Injures Five

January 3, 2006

Five persons suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash early Sunday morning, October 23, on Highway 51 in Perry County.

The Missouri Highway patrol says that the crash happened at about 1:20 a.m. when a southbound car driven by Christina Pannier was struck in the rear by a southbound pick up driven by 20-year-old Matthew Smith of Perryville.

The Patrol reports that 18-year-old Christina Pannier and her passengers Michael Downen,25, Kendall Augustine, 20,and David Riojas, 23, were injured and taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

According to the patrol, the pick up fled from the scene of accident. It was found after a while.

Amber Miller, 22-year-old, of Oak Ridge, was a passenger in the pick up. She was also injured and taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital.
