Truck Flies Into Home, Over Woman's Bed

February 28, 2006

A pickup truck drove right though an East Saint Louis home Friday morning, February 10. That truck came within inches of hitting a woman who was asleep in her bed.

The driver of the pickup, 19 year old Lyea Clemmons of Cahokia, was charged with driving under the influence. She is in jail.

The pickup truck lost control, hit a wooden bench and a concrete street light, then came to rest inside Patricia Graham's bedroom.

Fortunately, Patricia Graham was the only one home, but it was unclear whether she was harmed. The vehicle flew over her, and landed just inches from her queen size bed.
